2024-08-21 CVE-2024-43863 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vmwgfx: Fix a deadlock in dma buf fence polling Introduce a version of the fence ops that on release doesn't remove the fence from the pending list, and thus doesn't require a lock to fix poll->fence wait->fence unref deadlocks. vmwgfx overwrites the wait callback to iterate over the list of all fences and update their status, to do that it holds a lock to prevent the list modifcations from other threads. The fence... Linux_kernel 5.5
2024-09-18 CVE-2024-46751 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: don't BUG_ON() when 0 reference count at btrfs_lookup_extent_info() Instead of doing a BUG_ON() handle the error by returning -EUCLEAN, aborting the transaction and logging an error message. Linux_kernel 5.5
2024-12-27 CVE-2024-53203 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: fix potential array underflow in ucsi_ccg_sync_control() The "command" variable can be controlled by the user via debugfs. The worry is that if con_index is zero then "&uc->ucsi->connector[con_index - 1]" would be an array underflow. Linux_kernel 7.8
2024-12-27 CVE-2024-56655 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: do not defer rule destruction via call_rcu nf_tables_chain_destroy can sleep, it can't be used from call_rcu callbacks. Moreover, nf_tables_rule_release() is only safe for error unwinding, while transaction mutex is held and the to-be-desroyed rule was not exposed to either dataplane or dumps, as it deactives+frees without the required synchronize_rcu() in-between. nft_rule_expr_deactivate()... 2025-01-06 CVE-2024-56758 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: check folio mapping after unlock in relocate_one_folio() When we call btrfs_read_folio() to bring a folio uptodate, we unlock the folio. The result of that is that a different thread can modify the mapping (like remove it with invalidate) before we call folio_lock(). This results in an invalid page and we need to try again. In particular, if we are relocating concurrently with aborting a transaction, this can... Linux_kernel 5.5
2025-02-26 CVE-2022-49063 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: arfs: fix use-after-free when freeing @rx_cpu_rmap The CI testing bots triggered the following splat: [ 718.203054] BUG: KASAN: use-after-free in free_irq_cpu_rmap+0x53/0x80 [ 718.206349] Read of size 4 at addr ffff8881bd127e00 by task sh/20834 [ 718.212852] CPU: 28 PID: 20834 Comm: sh Kdump: loaded Tainted: G S W IOE 5.17.0-rc8_nextqueue-devqueue-02643-g23f3121aca93 #1 [ 718.219695] Hardware name: Intel... 2023-08-16 CVE-2023-4387 A use-after-free flaw was found in vmxnet3_rq_alloc_rx_buf in drivers/net/vmxnet3/vmxnet3_drv.c in VMware's vmxnet3 ethernet NIC driver in the Linux Kernel. This issue could allow a local attacker to crash the system due to a double-free while cleaning up vmxnet3_rq_cleanup_all, which could also lead to a kernel information leak problem. 2024-01-29 CVE-2023-46838 Transmit requests in Xen's virtual network protocol can consist of multiple parts. While not really useful, except for the initial part any of them may be of zero length, i.e. carry no data at all. Besides a certain initial portion of the to be transferred data, these parts are directly translated into what Linux calls SKB fragments. Such converted request parts can, when for a particular SKB they are all of length zero, lead to a de-reference of NULL in core networking code. Debian_linux, Fedora, Linux_kernel 7.5
2023-12-09 CVE-2023-50431 sec_attest_info in drivers/accel/habanalabs/common/habanalabs_ioctl.c in the Linux kernel through 6.6.5 allows an information leak to user space because info->pad0 is not initialized. Linux_kernel 5.5
2024-01-23 CVE-2024-23848 In the Linux kernel through 6.7.1, there is a use-after-free in cec_queue_msg_fh, related to drivers/media/cec/core/cec-adap.c and drivers/media/cec/core/cec-api.c. Linux_kernel 5.5
