2024-11-19 CVE-2024-53060 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: prevent NULL pointer dereference if ATIF is not supported acpi_evaluate_object() may return AE_NOT_FOUND (failure), which would result in dereferencing buffer.pointer (obj) while being NULL. Although this case may be unrealistic for the current code, it is still better to protect against possible bugs. Bail out also when status is AE_NOT_FOUND. This fixes 1 FORWARD_NULL issue reported by Coverity Report: CID... Linux_kernel 5.5
2024-06-19 CVE-2024-38553 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: fec: remove .ndo_poll_controller to avoid deadlocks There is a deadlock issue found in sungem driver, please refer to the commit ac0a230f719b ("eth: sungem: remove .ndo_poll_controller to avoid deadlocks"). The root cause of the issue is that netpoll is in atomic context and disable_irq() is called by .ndo_poll_controller interface of sungem driver, however, disable_irq() might sleep. After analyzing the... Linux_kernel 5.5
2024-06-21 CVE-2024-36478 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: null_blk: fix null-ptr-dereference while configuring 'power' and 'submit_queues' Writing 'power' and 'submit_queues' concurrently will trigger kernel panic: Test script: modprobe null_blk nr_devices=0 mkdir -p /sys/kernel/config/nullb/nullb0 while true; do echo 1 > submit_queues; echo 4 > submit_queues; done & while true; do echo 1 > power; echo 0 > power; done Test result: BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference,... 2024-11-08 CVE-2024-50198 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: light: veml6030: fix IIO device retrieval from embedded device The dev pointer that is received as an argument in the in_illuminance_period_available_show function references the device embedded in the IIO device, not in the i2c client. dev_to_iio_dev() must be used to accessthe right data. The current implementation leads to a segmentation fault on every attempt to read the attribute because indio_dev gets a NULL... Linux_kernel 5.5
2024-11-08 CVE-2024-50179 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ceph: remove the incorrect Fw reference check when dirtying pages When doing the direct-io reads it will also try to mark pages dirty, but for the read path it won't hold the Fw caps and there is case will it get the Fw reference. Linux_kernel 5.5
2024-11-08 CVE-2024-50180 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: sisfb: Fix strbuf array overflow The values of the variables xres and yres are placed in strbuf. These variables are obtained from strbuf1. The strbuf1 array contains digit characters and a space if the array contains non-digit characters. Then, when executing sprintf(strbuf, "%ux%ux8", xres, yres); more than 16 bytes will be written to strbuf. It is suggested to increase the size of the strbuf array to 24. Found... Linux_kernel 7.8
2024-11-08 CVE-2024-50182 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: secretmem: disable memfd_secret() if arch cannot set direct map Return -ENOSYS from memfd_secret() syscall if !can_set_direct_map(). This is the case for example on some arm64 configurations, where marking 4k PTEs in the direct map not present can only be done if the direct map is set up at 4k granularity in the first place (as ARM's break-before-make semantics do not easily allow breaking apart large/gigantic... 2024-11-08 CVE-2024-50192 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: irqchip/gic-v4: Don't allow a VMOVP on a dying VPE Kunkun Jiang reported that there is a small window of opportunity for userspace to force a change of affinity for a VPE while the VPE has already been unmapped, but the corresponding doorbell interrupt still visible in /proc/irq/. Plug the race by checking the value of vmapp_count, which tracks whether the VPE is mapped ot not, and returning an error in this case. This... Linux_kernel 4.7
2024-11-08 CVE-2024-50193 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/entry_32: Clear CPU buffers after register restore in NMI return CPU buffers are currently cleared after call to exc_nmi, but before register state is restored. This may be okay for MDS mitigation but not for RDFS. Because RDFS mitigation requires CPU buffers to be cleared when registers don't have any sensitive data. Move CLEAR_CPU_BUFFERS after RESTORE_ALL_NMI. Linux_kernel 7.1
2024-11-08 CVE-2024-50195 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: posix-clock: Fix missing timespec64 check in pc_clock_settime() As Andrew pointed out, it will make sense that the PTP core checked timespec64 struct's tv_sec and tv_nsec range before calling ptp->info->settime64(). As the man manual of clock_settime() said, if tp.tv_sec is negative or tp.tv_nsec is outside the range [0..999,999,999], it should return EINVAL, which include dynamic clocks which handles PTP clock, and the...
